Hello neighbors, friends, and relatives, I’m Heather Keeler and I’m excited to share with you that I’m running for Congress. 

For the past five years, I have proudly served Moorhead as our Minnesota State Representative. Since the moment I stepped into public service I have been driven by one mission: to lead with love. 

As a mom, an educator, and an advocate, I know our side of the state needs a voice at the table who will stand up for all of us. I've been that voice for us in the Minnesota House. My personal, professional, and political experiences have taught me to stand up for the neighbors who need it the most, while working to find slivers of commonality across the aisle to do the good work for all of us. We need a representative in CD-7 who has lived experience and a proven track record of getting things done for greater Minnesota.

Now more than ever it’s critical that we have leaders who are working hard to fight for healthcare access, affordable and safe housing, and food security, while also making sure our local economy is put first. I’ve fought for change that delivered real results: passed the historic Pathway Home Act to address homelessness, secured emergency food shelf funding, expanded SNAP access, and led the statewide School Attendance Task Force, all with bipartisan support and partnerships. Even in a DFL trifecta, I found it deeply important to continue to work across political differences, across communities, and across generations, to ensure we could find ways to lead together. 

After careful and prayerful consideration, I’m ready to take that same passion, dedication, and energy to Congress. I hope you’ll take this journey with me, because now more than ever we need to move from the politics of hatred and division to the politics of care and compassion.
