Conventions
Precinct caucuses are officially in the books. Thank you to everyone who showed up for Heather! But the journey to sending Heather to Washington is just getting started. Now, we move to DFL Organizing Unit Conventions, where the real work of securing the endorsement happens.
If you were elected as a delegate or an alternate on caucus night, your next mission is to show up, represent your neighbors, and get elected as a delegate to the Congressional District 7 Convention, one step closer to casting your vote to endorse Heather.
The DFL endorsement process is a grassroots powerhouse. It ensures our nominee has the full backing of the people they represent. By attending your convention, you aren't just a spectator; you are the decision-maker.
Check Your Status: Ensure you were elected as a delegate or alternate at your Feb 3rd caucus. You should get an email or mail with the next steps from your organizing unit.
Find Your Date: Organizing Unit (OU) conventions happen now through Mid-March. Keep an eye on your email, or check the information below!
Show Up for Heather! Arrive on time, wear your Heather gear, meet fellow supporters, and help us table!
Run as a Delegate for the CD Convention! Make sure to raise your hand and run as a delegate for the Congressional District 7 Convention!
The CD7 DFL Convention will be held on April 25th at 1 PM, at Prairie's Edge Casino and Resort near Granite Falls, MN. Organizing units will provide more info at or after your organizing unit convention

I was elected as a delegate. Now what?
You will receive an official convention call from your local DFL Organizing Unit via mail or email. This will include the date, time, and location of your convention.
What if I was elected as an alternate?
Please still attend! Alternates are often seated as full delegates if someone from your precinct cannot make it. Your presence is vital to ensure Heather has a full block of support.
Where can I find my convention details?
If you haven't received your notice yet, you can contact your local DFL chair, check the status at dfl.org, or look at our list above.
Pro Tip: Bring a friend! Even if they aren't delegates, most conventions allow guests to observe. It’s a great way to see grassroots democracy in action.
